Resume review

Why do some resumes get an instant response from recruiters, while others I don't even pay attention to? This is important to understand for anyone who plans to look for a new job. We have prepared instructions on how to write a resume that will work.

6 - 8 seconds. That's how much time a recruiter spends looking at one resume.

Your task is to create a CV in which the employer will easily find information that will interest and motivate him to invite you for an interview.

It's like choosing the product you need in a store. Imagine you go to the supermarket to buy milk.

Most likely, you are looking for a product that will meet your requirements - a certain percentage of fat, price and necessarily lactose-free.

And now replace milk with a resume, and yourself with a recruiter. Is your CV really what the company is looking for?

Why do you need a resume review?

You already know which type of resume is right for you, so you can safely proceed to filling it out.

Brief information about you:
- name and surname
- a city
– a link to the portfolio (if available and required by the professional field)
– a link to a LinkedIn page
– link to the Facebook page (optional)

Relevant contact details:
- email
- phone
– nickname in Telegram (if available)

Photo. It is important that the photo matches the format of the business. We also advise you not to use passport photos or those where you are full-height or there is someone other than you in the photo.

The best option is if it is a portrait photo on a neutral background.

A short summary of the resume review. Here, indicate your strengths and achievements - key competencies (at work), personal qualities and skills that will be useful in the future profession, results of previous activities. And of course, do not forget to write what position you are looking for.

Roughly, it should be 1 paragraph (5-6 sentences), which should interest the recruiter to read further.

Experience. Write the name of the company, how long your cooperation lasted, your role / position. Start with your last place of employment and write down each experience in chronological order.

In each point, write about 3-4 of your areas of responsibility, duties or achievements in previous companies.

If you are changing jobs, then indicate how your previous experience can be useful in the new direction.

If you do not have work experience, indicate additional courses and educational institutions where you received specialized knowledge for the field you are interested in.

Education. Specify the educational institution, specialty and years of study.

Language skills. Indicate which languages you know and at what level. If you have test results, be sure to write them here.

Recommendations from previous places of work (optional). The name and contact information of a person who can provide relevant recommendations about you.

How resume review takes place

The moderators check what name, surname and patronymic you indicated, look at the photo, the title of the resume, whether the categories for posting the resume are correctly selected, what desired salary you indicated, whether the fields in the content of the professional resume review services were filled in correctly.

What errors can be corrected by the moderators themselves?

Grammar errors in resume title. For example, if you made a typo by writing "Account Manager" instead of "Account Manager", we will correct it.

What mistakes cannot be corrected by the moderators themselves?

All other errors in the summary. If errors are made in the resume description, the moderators will not correct them. We believe that an employer can form a first impression of an applicant from a resume, and it would be wrong to influence this first impression (for example, if grammatical errors were made in a resume of a teacher or a copywriter, and we will correct them, the employer will have a false impression of the candidate).
